Faith Formation Programs
There are many additional opportunities for spiritual growth. Most of these programs involve small communities. All will help you along your spiritual path.
- Men's Spirituality - Saturday morning breakfast for men of all ages. The group usually meets on the first and third Saturdays in the Parish Hall at 7:30 AM.
- Faith in Fiction Book Group is a monthly reading group that is open to everyone. It is an informal group that is more of a conversation among friends than a college English class. We discuss the spiritual or ethical thread which runs through the “novel of the month.” We meet on the fourth Tuesday at 7:00 in the library.
- Inquirers’ Class - It is customary for members of the Church who wish to identify themselves with the Episcopal tradition to be confirmed by a Bishop of this Church. To help people with that decision, we offer an Inquirers’ Class each year in anticipation of the Bishop's Visitation on December 7. This class lasts 6 weeks and is taught by the Rector. It is also used by many people as a re-entry into the life of the Church after a period of absence. Some use the Inquirers' Class as an opportunity for further nurture in the love of the Lord Jesus.
- Dream Journey Group —meets 2nd and 4th Wednesday evenings, 7:00—8:30 in the rector's office. Participants share their dreams and explore the meaning they may have for their lives. For more information contact the Rector.
- Adult Retreat - each Lent an Adult Retreat held is in March on the Outer Banks. The program focuses on a topic designed to make Lent more meaningful for adults.
