The Episcopal Diocese of Southern Virginia is a vibrant family in Christ of more than 37,000 Christians worshipping in 123 churches in 26 counties of the Commonwealth of Virginia, reaching from Danville to the Eastern Shore, and from the North Carolina state line to the south side of the capital city of Richmond. More than 170 ordained clergy serve within these boundaries under the interim leadership of the Rt. Rev. John C. Buchanan.
