What We Are Doing

Ministries

Emmanuel has a wide variety of ministries to serve a wide variety of people and causes.

We minister to our community and the world through our Outreach Commission. Parishioners are encouraged to follow Christ's mandate to "Feed my sheep" by participating in Emmanuel's Food Pantry and preparing meals for the Judeo-Christian Outreach Center, the Mission of the Holy Spirit and Full Circle AIDS Ministry. We support Angel Tree Ministry at Christmas by providing gifts to children whose parents are in prison. Many of our members are active in Kairos Prison Ministry, Habitat for Humanity and Meals on Wheels. We have established the Disaster Emergency Relief Team (DERT) to minister to people in dire circumstances. We have sent several teams to Mississippi to help with clean up after Hurricane Katrina.

We minister to those in our parish through Pastoral Care programs. These include healing ministry, visitation programs and Martha's Ministry which cares for families in times of bereavement.

We minister to the formation of our parish through many programs in Adult Education, Youth Ministry and Children's Programs. Emmanuel has a Day School for children 2 1/2 through 4 years old.

We hope that all members of Emmanuel find the ministry they need to receive from AND the ministry they have a calling to support.
