"Come, you that are blessed by my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world; for I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me, I was naked and you gave me clothing, I was sick and you took care of me, I was in prison and you visited me.”
Our Outreach Ministry embraces these words of Jesus. We not only provide financial support to programs but we offer lots of "hands-on" participation. We remind parishioners we are agents of God's kingdom in our community and in the world.
We are proud to be a Jubilee Ministry Center. We are avidly engaged in mission and ministry among and with people in need. Our ministry partners include:
In addition we support the Red Cross, Seton House, Southeastern Virginia Training Center, Meals on Wheels and other community based programs.
We financially contribute to Episcopal Relief & Development, Heifer Project, Boy's Home, Women of Hope, missionary programs, Bread for the World and many others. Our goal in 2007 is to support the Millennium Development Goals that aim to end poverty and hunger by giving 0.7% of our parish budget to organizations working for the MDGs.
